I never met Andy and only had a few brief FB communications with him but today I join many others who knew Andy offering my deepest sympathy for his passing. Although it is little consolation at this sad time, it should be of some satisfaction to know that you can celebrate his life knowing that he was a happy man. His own business , doing a craft he loved and he was able to enjoy his grandchildren.
An American philosopher, Ralph Waldo Emerson once wrote, “It is not length of life, but depth of life.” I believe that the measure of a life well-lived is not in how much money one has or what possessions they have accumulated, but rather through the lives one touched and the sorrow one leaves behind. If the outpouring of sympathy on the loss of Andy is any indication, you can proudly and confidently say that he had a life well-lived.
May you find peace and comfort in knowing that this loss is felt by all who knew and loved him.
