Obituary of Douglas Brice Giggey

It is with great sadness that the family of Douglas Brice Giggey announces his passing which occurred on Saturday, June 15, 2024, at Bobby’s Hospice. Born in Saint John, NB on December 23, 1959, he was a son of the late Douglas and Ester Giggey.

Doug enjoyed spending time outdoors, he loved having coffee with Debbie before their walks in the woods. He had such a big heart for those who knew him, especially his friends who he loved to hangout with. He will be missed by many.

Doug leaves behind his partner of 34 years, Debbie Robichaud; daughter, Carol Thompson; grandchildren, Kiara Thompson and Daylin Whelan (Ryelle); brothers, Harold Giggey, Brice Giggey, Leonard Giggey; as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Doug was predeceased by his son, Douglas McKinney and his brother, Ronnie McKinney.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home,111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB, (506-634-742). A Funeral Service will take place from Brenan’s Chapel on Wednesday, June 19, 2024, beginning at 12:00 PM. Interment will follow in Fernhill Cemetery. Donations in memory of Doug may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
