Obituary of Glenna Marilyn Cox
It is with sadness but with an appreciation for a long life that the family of Glenna Cox, cherished wife of the late Charlie Cox, announce her passing which occurred on Sunday, June 30, 2024 at Embassy Hall, Quispamsis. Born September 8, 1931 on Grand Manan, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Peg (Northrup) Anderson.
In her earlier years, Glenna enjoyed volunteering as a Brownie leader. She loved curling, was an avid gardener, a skilled quilter and a woman of great faith, as she always enjoyed leading Bible classes. Glenna worked many years at the post office and this was a job that she enjoyed and where many wonderful friendships were made. She will be greatly missed.
Glenna will be lovingly remembered by her children, Rob (Patty), Beth, Marijane (John) and Peggy (Paul); brother, Doug (Barb); six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506-634-7424) where visitation will take place on Friday, July 5, 2024 from 2:00 – 3:00 PM with a funeral service immediately beginning at 3:00 PM all from Brenan’s Chapel.
For those who wish, remembrances made to the Alzheimer Society of NB or the IWK would be appreciated by the family.
