Obituary of Pauline Marie Peters
It’s with great sadness the family of Pauline Marie Peters announces her passing on July 11, 2024, at the Saint John Regional Hospital with her children by her side. Born on May 29, 1944, in Saint John, NB, she was a daughter of the late Tom and Theresa LeBlanc.
Pauline will be deeply missed by her children Derek Peters (Holly) and Susan Lucas (Colin); her grandchildren Colin (Stephanie), Cody (Craig), Madison, and Maxime; and her brothers Eugene, Gerald (Debra), and Raymond (Shawn). She is also survived by her sisters Geraldine, Jeannette (Felix), Helen, Bertha (Ron), Mary-Ann (Greg), and Dorilla, as well as several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Pauline was predeceased by her parents, as well as her sisters Louise and Lorraine, and her brothers-in-law Gerry, Doug, Richard, and Adrian.
Pauline will also be deeply missed at her residence, where she was a beloved resident for 27 years. Her neighbours adored her and lovingly called her the "Queen" of the building. She touched many lives with her kindness and charm. She enjoyed playing cards, where she was known for both her skill and her playful competitiveness.
When Pauline was young, she enjoyed her role working at the Canadian Red Cross where she drove 18-wheelers across the provinces of New Brunswick and Ontario. She returned to her roots in Saint John to focus on raising her family as a devoted single mom. Pauline dedicated much of her time volunteering at Holy Trinity Church, working alongside Monsignor Sheehan and Sister Nickerson, Pauline was known for her warm spirit and generous contributions to the church.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB, (506-634-7424). A visitation for Pauline will be held on Monday July 15, 2024 from 2:00 – 4:00PM and 6:00 – 8:00PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Stella Maris Catholic Church (201 Bayside Dr, Saint John, NB) Tuesday at 11:00AM; interment will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery. The family would like to invite family and friends to a reception at the Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home (152 Pettingill Rd, Quispamsis, NB E2E 3S6) following the burial.
