Faye, we send our heartfelt condolences for the loss of a wonderful aunt. Not only an aunt but a mom and irreplaceable mentor. She will be missed by many in the community and beyond. I didn’t have the privilege of knowing Lois until recent years. Greg has many memories as he grew up in Acamac. May God bring you comfort as you grieve the loss of this wonderful, one of a kind lady. Faye and family, we send you our deepest condolences on the passing of Lois. She was a force of nature and a good neighbour to us at New River. Who will shoo people off the beach in front of our cottages now that Lois isn't around to do it? Who will circulate petitions to get "no parking" signs on New River Road? And who will come up to us and say, "I'm a hugger"? Lois Baxter will be missed.

Lois was a wonderful grand-aunt. I was impressed by her active and positive personality when I met her the first time. I still remember she told me that she enjoyed her time with everyone around her and she loved making new friends.
She also told me that she was always happy to have people and friends over at her lovely beach house, but I regret I didn't have a chance to tell her that I was also so happy to stay there and spend a lot of wonderful time with her.
I will never forget her beautiful smiles and I will miss her in my life.

Our deepest condolences to Lois’s family. She was a wonderful, lively presence here at the beach. We were fortunate enough to be here for her 90th birthday, and thrilled to attend the event. She invited us to the celebration a year before, while she was collecting signatures for a petition against fish farming in our area. She will be greatly missed by all, at the beach and at the Bay Breeze.
