My Mother Evelyn and I were saddened when we heard of Shirleys passing. Evelyn and Shirley were first cousins, Shirley, George and Paul lived beside us in Champlain heights when i was a young child. Every day, someone from each of our families would be seen crossing yards to visit each other, both houses had open doors filled with laughter and love. I always remembered Christmas time, Shirley had one of those Antique green ceramic christmas trees, it would sit on a table and I would play with this for hours by changing the coloured bulbs around driving George crazy while Shirley laughed on. Shirley and George always called me Missy, never by Alyson, I don't actually know why, but when Shirleys health was declining, she still called me missy, something I will always cherish. Shirley was a very strong and caring woman, The only comfort in all of this is that Shirley is now back together with George, and I am sure their both driving each other crazy. Our deepest condolences to the entire family.

Condolences to Shirley's family. Shirley and my mom and wife worked at Fairweather and Sun Alliance together and Shirley and George used to go to my parent's house in Westfield for BBQ's and swim in the pool during the summer and visit at other times throughout the year.

Our condolences to the family. Shirley was my Mom's, Marjorie Calvin's, 1st cousin. Shirley's dad and my maternal grandmother, Annie Scott, were brother and sister. Although Shirley and I were 1st cousins once removed, most of my generation always called her Aunt Shirley. I used to see her and Uncle George often when they lived in the seniors' complex where my mom still lives. Sad to hear this news.
