Obituary of Audrey M. K. Crawford
Audrey passed away peacefully, to be reunited with her beloved Crow, on August 14, 2024, following a recent bout of pneumonia. Mom was infamous for being an excellent baker, and there were a few occasions she would even share her baking secrets with close family members. She delighted in preparing her baked goods to share with her family and friends and you could always count on her to have something sweet in the cupboard, in case someone happened to drop for a cup of tea or coffee. There was also never a shortage of candy in a dish, as Mom had quite the sweet tooth.
Mom, always dressed to the nines in her extensive wardrobe, was also well known for having a razor-sharp memory capacity and could recall names, dates, and life experiences that would put a computer to shame. Mom also loved snowmobiling at the cabin, well into her 70s. She enjoyed curling, bowling and especially her weekly “Card Club” day with the “girls” which continued for over 50 years.
The family wish to thank the Emergency Department at the Saint John Regional Hospital, as well as the staff of Shannex Nursing Home in Millidgeville for the care and kindness they extended over the past years. Mom’s life was touched by so many wonderful people, and on her behalf, her family would like to extend our sincerest gratitude for the impact each of you had on her beautiful and vibrant time on this Earth.
