Obituary of Judith Ann Campbell

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Judith (Judy) Ann Campbell on August 1, 2024.  

Judy was born on January 28th, 1943, in Boston, Massachusetts to her mother Marjorie (Morton) Wallace and father Arthur Wallace. She attended Medford High School and Mass Bay College.  She married her husband Donald Campbell and moved to Saint John, New Brunswick in 1973. Judy loved to spend time and to host gatherings with her family and friends.  She kept herself busy with work, bridge club, sorority, golfing and with church events at the Church of Good Shepherd.

Judy moved to Edmonton, Alberta in 2016 to be near her family.  She loved to golf with her family and friends, she was a member of St. Timothy’s Anglican church and a member at West End Senior Citizen Center where she participated in art classes, she enjoyed reading and loved celebrating Christmas and birthdays with her family.  She loved her special phone calls with her friends and family from afar and watching her grandchildren at school and sporting events.

Judy was predeceased by her husband Donald Campbell, her brothers-in-law Douglas and Ian Campbell and stepson Robert Campbell.  

Judy is survived by her daughter Melissa (Wilber) Vallejo Campbell and their children Isabel, Alexa and Ethan, her son Brian (Michelle) Campbell and their children Nolan, Graeme and Norah and her stepson Daniel (Maritess) Campbell and their children Asher and Maddie. 

She is also survived by her sisters Janet Sigrist and Patricia (Richard) Oleson and her sister-in-law Jane Campbell, her nieces and nephews- Andrew (Beth), David (Grace), Tina (Carlos), Peter (Lucy), Rachael (Joe) and Dennis (Abby) and several great nieces and nephews- Katie, Linus and Ronan, Leonie and Amelie.  

Judy will be missed immensely by her family and friends. She was cremated in Edmonton at Pointe West Funeral Home and to honour her wishes her ashes will be buried in Saint John in a private family ceremony.  If friends and family desire, memorial donations may be made to the  Canadian Cancer Society
