Obituary of Gloria Marie LeBlanc
It is with broken hearts that the family of Gloria Marie (nee Savoie) LeBlanc announce her passing, which occurred on Sunday, August 25, 2024 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on December 21, 1954 in Miramichi, she was a daughter of the late William and Anne (nee Legere) Savoie.
Prior to retiring, Gloria was employed as a Personal Support Worker, where she faithfully cared for the needs of the elderly. In her earlier years, she gladly welcomed many foster children to her home. Gloria had a special place in her heart for the family dog, Jett, whom she affectionately referred to as “Nana’s Boy.” In her free time, she enjoyed watching Little House on the Prairie and Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman. She always looked forward to a good game of bingo and also enjoyed dancing, listening to music at the Miramichi wharf, crafting and crocheting. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Gloria will forever be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Lisa McLeod (Chris); son, William Chant; siblings, Diana, Wilfred, Saie, Noella, Armand, Emile, Denise, Nicole and Sylvia; granddaughters, Kaitlyn and Stephanie; grandson, Colton; great-granddaughter, Averie; as well as many other grandchildren; great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her siblings, Leo, Eldon, Normand, Mabel, Delcia, Alyre and Linda.
In keeping with Gloria’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Siant John (506-634-7424).
For those who wish, remembrances made to your local SPCA in Gloria’s memory would be appreciated by the family.
