Obituary of Cora Bourque

It is with heavy hearts the family of Cora Bourque (Northrup) announces her passing on Thursday, August 1, 2024, at Lauriel Place Hospice in Surrey B.C. She was born on July 11, 1962, to the late George and Bernadette Northrup.

Cora was a devoted mother and grandmother, she even had most of the grandchildren from birth, the children were her world. She loved baking bread and sitting down to have big meals with the family just like her mama.

Cora is survived by her son Tom, daughters; Tamara (Troy) and Tabatha, 6 grandchildren; Ella, Abby, Tom, Westley, Alex, Cora, and her honourary daughter Angelique, brother George (BJ), sisters; Carmel Frauley (Richard), Carolanne McGivery (Brian), and Cynthia Northrup, several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Along with her parents, Cora was also predeceased by her brothers Glenn and Gary Northrup, and sister Cathie Tays (Northrup). Cora will be deeply missed by family, friends, and all who knew her.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held from Stella Maris Church (201 Bayside Drive, Saint John. N.B.) on Monday, September 16, 2024, at 11:00 AM with interment to follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
