Obituary of Rufin Joseph Cormier
It is with great sadness that the family of Rufin “Bob” Joseph Cormier announces his passing which occurred on Tuesday, September 17, 2024, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Caraquet, NB on November 9, 1946, he was a son of the late Julien and Evelyn (Albert) Cormier.
He cherished daily harbour passage walks fueled by Tim Horton's coffee, cruising in his beloved Mustangs, and treasure-hunting for clams on the beach. Bob's love for life's simple joys inspired those around him, leaving a lasting legacy.
Bob leaves behind his loving partner of 27 years, Marlene; brothers, Claude, and Alyre (Louise); sisters, Claudette (Bill), Nicole (Mike), Claire, Lorraine (Terry); grandson, Julien; as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Bob was predeceased by his daughter, Rachael; brother, Raymond, and his sister, Jeaninne.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB, (506-634-7424). In keeping with Bob’s wishes there will be no services. Interment will take place in Caraquet, NB at a later date. Donations may made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
