Many condolences to Rick's family. Rick was a mainstay at UNB when I was there, and was always a joy to talk to. Much love from the extended Peacock family.

When we were teenagers in Vocational School Rick only had 2 ambitions. One was to marry Linda Ketch (or at least get her to notice him) and the other was to join the RCMP.
Sad but lost touch after
high school.

Dear Rick:
You are, and always will be, one of the kindest, most generous, and gregarious guys we’ve ever known.
We have so many wonderful memories: music ‘til the wee hours of the morning, hot dogs for breakfast, and brother John calling in the morning to ask if we’re looking at the floor or the ceiling.
So many epic socials with The Captain.
Love, Eric and Sandy.
(Oh…. and thanks to you, and Linda, for “calling in the troops”, aka Brian and Kurt, and putting our shed together.)
Thinking of all of you during this difficult time.

Dear Linda and family,
My heartfelt condolences to all of you as you mourn the loss of a kind and gentle man. Craig and I often spoke of Rick’s (and your) quiet ministry to our congregation when we were there. May the Holy Spirit be with you all in the coming days and weeks bringing comfort and peace.

For Linda, Kurt, Brian and your families. How blessed you are Linda to be the chosen wife and Kurt and Brian the gift of this father.
Rick was an absolute pleasure to know. David has so many stories of their summers together and for me, the best welcome to the family a person could ask for. His smile, his joy, his stories, his commitment, his friendships and his love will be treasured by all who had the good fortune to be touched by his life.

I'm am so sorry to hear the news of Uncle Rick. I have wonderful memories of his laughter, spirit, energy and exuberance. The "fun uncle" is how he lives on in my mind. Growing up, I loved all the socials in your basement in Westfield. An evening at Rick and Linda's was sure to be a fun one! I know this time will be challenging, but please take comfort in the presence of those around you - home and away. -Frederick Crossley

To Linda, Brian, Kurt and family. We are so sorry to hear of Rick's passing. He has had quite a journey and is now at peace. We will always remember all the wonderful parties, adventures and gatherings celebrating so many things on the front deck, in Newfoundland, Ottawa and Fredericton. "An honest man here lies at rest,
As e’er God with His image blest:
The friend of man, the friend of truth;
The friend of age, and guide of youth:
Few hearts like his, with virtue warm’d,
Few heads with knowledge so inform’d:
If there’s another world, he lives in bliss;
If there is none, he made the best of this."

Dear Linda and your precious family, please accept my deepest condolences, mere words are never enough but they are sincere and accompanied by my prayers.
Rick, as you know, was my longtime friend and neighbor in Westfield. We enjoyed many hours together in friendship and during our bible study group as we fellowshipped together. I will miss him greatly but I will never forget him. Rest in peace, in God's company my brother in Christ.

My sincerest condolences for your loss. Rick and I were troop mates in 13 Troop 67/68 and upon graduation we embarked on our RCMP careers together as we were both posted to ‘’B’’ division. We flew to St. John’s and were met at the airport by two young members from Burin Detachment were I was posted. Rick was just a few miles away directly across the Burin Peninsula in Grand Bank Detachment. We saw each other occasionally while at our first posts and in later years in Ottawa as I eventually ended up there as well. I have such fond memories of Rick as someone who was always ready to help and who went through his life as I knew him with a perpetual smile on face. He loved to laugh and joke and always left us feeling better for having met him.

Rick was my Sunday school teacher and one of my favorite people growing up. He was always so calm and would always ask about our week. He listened and asked questions keeping track of us as we grew up. In the kitchen of St.James church we had our little class and Rick let me help ring the church bell. When we moved to the middle school for service, I would hangout at the canteen with him as he prepared the morning tea for everyone. My thoughts are with his family and friends during this time. Rick was an amazing person.
