Obituary of John “Jack” Donald Greenlaw
With heavy hearts, the family of Jack Greenlaw of Riverbank announce his unexpected passing at home on Sunday, November 3, 2024. Born September 9, 1954, in Saint John, he was a son of the late Donald and Ella (Green) Greenlaw.
Jack was an avid fisherman, and when he wasn’t fly fishing by his home on Hammond River, you would find him casting his line on the Miramichi River. He was a world-renowned fly tier, and his fishing flies are used all over the world by those who appreciated his craft. He also loved hunting deer and moose and spending his time outdoors.
Jack is survived by his daughter, Angela Greenlaw and her family; his siblings: Lori Greenlaw-Zacharuk (Dave McCutcheon), Douglas Greenlaw (Patty), Earle Greenlaw (Michele), Dawne Piche, Susan Douglas, and Cindy Mullett (Steve); several nieces and nephews, and his best friend, Jerry Nickerson.
Jack was predeceased by his parents and by his life partner, Susan Gamble.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506-634-7424). A time of visitation will be held on Friday, November 8, 2024, from 1 to 2 pm, followed by a funeral service in Brenan’s Chapel at 2 pm. Interment will take place in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery.
For those who wish, remembrances to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family and can be placed at www.BrenansFH.com.
