To the family of Kathy Molloy, I want you to know how sad I was to hear of the passing of your mom, wife, sister and friend. For me she was a co-worker at Morna, Grand Bay and Brown's Flat schools. She was the first teacher to take me under her wing as I entered the profession. She was open, honest, friendly, and so kind. I loved that she was a straight shooter, very direct in her communication. It was an honor to have worked with her. Michelle Cosman

So very sorry to hear of the passing of Cathy. Her time was much too short. We grew up with her as our neighbour. When we moved in next door, Cathy quickly became like family to us, always a welcome face in our home. Her laughter and smile will always be part of our memories growing up. Cathy shared her love of music and enriched our lives. As we grew older our lives branched, but we never forgot her. ALS, is a cruel disease, it robbed us of a bright spark. Our world is a bit dimmer now. To Michael, Erin, Leslie and family Allan and I can only offer our sincere condolences. It's never enough, we can't fathom your loss, but Cathy is able to sleep now. Sometime down the road, you will be able to share a beer and toast her, she was remarkable. Allan and Cora Higgins (from the Jones family next door).

To Mike and Family: Please receive my sincere condolences and prayers at your/our loss of Kathy - and I also say 'our loss' because of Kathy's great contribution through her music and teaching in the greater Saint John community.
Kathy was at the Conservatory of Music at Mt. A. during three of my four years there, being a year ahead of me. We sang together in the Conservatory Chorale and in the Mt. Allison Choral Society - each also having our moments as soloists; and we participated in many Vocal Master Classes and concerts in Brunton Auditorium together, sharing the same voice teacher - and the fact that we were both proud Saint Johners... She had a true sense of 'joie de vivre', and her high-pitched laugh was contagious.
I was happy to learn that she enjoyed her travels with you Mike, to Belgium - for the beer - which is the best...I know- I studied there for five years.
When Mass Intentions will be offered for Kathy at OLPH Church in Rothesay, I will remember her fondly as the fine Létourneau Pipe Organ is played - with which you were very much involved Mike.
May she now rest in peace after an honourable life well lived. Many, many will miss her and have fond memories.
Eternal rest grant unto her O Lord, and may your perpetual light shine upon her. Father Stanislas Paulin

I've heard it said,
That people come into our lives for a reason
Bringing something we must learn.
And we are led to those
Who help us most to grow if we let them.
And we help them in return.
Well, I don't know if I believe that's true
But I know I'm who I am today
Because I knew you.
Like a comet pulled from orbit as it passes the sun,
Like a stream that meets a boulder halfway through the wood.
Who can say if I've been changed for the better
But because I knew you
I have been changed for good.
Thinking of you all during this most difficult time. Sending lots of love and gratitude for all the wonderful memories and opportunities your family have brought to so many.

To the family of Kathy! I knew Kathy ever since a little boy growing up at my grandparents place next to the McLean’s family on Champlain Drive. Often I would run into her as I was constantly running out into the back field picking up golf balls for her father Mr. Ted McLean and another neighbour Mr. Howard Jones who practiced their golf swing to precision. I made some pretty good money for that. I seem to recall Cathy taking care of me at times when my parents were out. I got to know Allison (her niece) over the years when she came to Saint John to visit. The McLeans, the Jones and the Browns were a close knit in our small community. Great memories of so many years ago. I don’t think I’ve seen Kathy for approximately 40 years but do remember her for the fun we had. I send my heartfelt condolences to the family and a hi to Allison if you see this message. She will be missed greatly RIP

Kathy - Although you have been known to me for many years through choral work it was really when I joined Carleton Choristers that I got to know you - you as a person, your beautiful voice and of course your infectious laugh. I thank you for being there, for your interest in my family and for our many facebook chats. You will be missed but I know you will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know you. To Michael, Erin and Leslie - I know you will cherish memories. Kathy will be missed but she will always be with each of you.

Michael and family,
I only met Kathy once at NB Choral Fest 2016. We had an opportunity to chat several times over the course of the weekend. We connected quickly as we were both Mt.A alumni, and I a new music teacher. She shared lots with me about the profession in such a short amount of time. In years since we occasionally connected through social media.
Please accept my condolences at this difficult time.
Respectfully,
Brad Hachey

I am blessed to have gotten to know Kathy at Carleton Choristers and so enjoyed singing with her. Her smile was so infectious and made us all smile just looking at her. Michael, Erin and Leslie, I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Kathy. She fought the battle right until the end. She was the sweetest girl as a child and grew up to be a beautiful person from the inside out. She embraced her diagnoses with grace and dignity when many wouldn’t . She adored her family and was so proud of all of you. I was thrilled when we got to teach together at Grandview Avenue School when we were both starting our careers. She was an excellent teacher and loved the kids and they loved her. We worked together at the Music Festival many years and we would always joke about competing together in our younger years. She certainly was a special person and will be missed by so many! My deepest condolence to your family! Simond’s High has lost another great Graduate!

Dear Michael and family,
My sincere condolences to you all. Such a difficult time no matter the circumstances.
Kathy was a wonderful, inspiring mentor to me when I was dragged along to senior choir at St. Marks one fateful Thursday night. Although I’d had lots of piano lessons and learned my little songs for the music festival, I was not prepared for what it would mean to sing in an Adult choir and “read” music. Kathy was very supportive and she would have been so proud to know that now, finally, I can read music. We had such fun touring around town with Mr. McIntyre and the Chancel Singers. It was the start of a life long love of and career in music.
May music fill you with fond memories, healing and peace
Love Jennifer Robinson
