Obituary of Lois Jannie Neilson
The passing of Lois J. Neilson occurred at Shannex - Embassy Hall on Monday, November 25, 2024. Born at home on March 22, 1932, in Sisson Brook, NB. She was a daughter of the late Thorvald and Dora Neilson. Lois attended Burnt Land Brook School.
Lois moved to Saint John in 1956. She worked for Dominion Stores LTD. for 6 years then spent 27 years with Atlantic Wholesalers at the Save Easy on Carmarthen St.
Lois is survived by her sister, Camilla Billingsley (Tom); niece, Bonnie Connors (Bob); nephews, Dana Thornton (Anne), Kevin Neilson (Joyce), Kyle Neilson (Kim); as well as several great-nieces and great-nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her fiancé, Ronald Carr; sister, Maxine Thornton; brother, Neil Neilson; niece, Vicki Harrison; nephew, Jimmy Thornton; sister-in-law, Wilda Neilson; brothers-in-law, Paul Thornton, Tom Billingsley.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB, (506-634-7424). There will be no visitation or service. A Graveside Service will take place in Burnt Land Brook Cemetery (Victoria County, NB) in the spring. Donations in memory Lois may be made to the Burnt Land Brook Cemetery.
