Obituary of Gloria Jean Collings
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Gloria Collings on December 5, 2024, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born May 2, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Edna Keating.
Gloria enjoyed life and spent many years doing the things she loved; square dancing, tatting, quilting, and knitting numerous hats and mittens.
She found joy when going on outings with her friends and through her passion of genealogy. She was known for her smile, love of music, and her dedication to her family. Especially spending time with her daughters.
Gloria is survived by her daughters Tina Enman (Dennis), Sherry Linton (Ken), Wendy Johnston (Fred), and Debbie Linton, brothers Jack Keating (Thelma), Ron Keating (Dawn), sisters Doris Green and Lorraine Taylor (Bill), stepson Kenny Collings (Carol), along with several nieces, nephews, cousins, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, with a special mention to her close circle of friends Jean (Buffy), Rae and Peggy. Besides her parents, Gloria was predeceased by her loving husband James Collings, brothers Andrew Keating, Robert Keating, Allan Keating, sister Bernice Conley, brothers-in-law Sonny Green and Ronald Conley, and a very special place in her heart for her predeceased grandson DJ.
Arrangements are entrusted to Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (506-634-7424). Visitation will take place at Brenan's on Sunday, December 8, 2024, from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 PM. A Funeral Service will be held from Brenan's Chapel on Monday, December 9, 2024, from 10:00 AM. Interment will occur in Ocean View Memorial Gardens at a later date.
Donations in Gloria's memory would be greatly appreciated to the Kidney Foundation. Online condolences may be shared at www.brenansfh.com.
