Mass of Christian Burial
Obituary of Catherine Jane Cole
With heavy hearts, the family of Catherine Jane Cole (McCarthy) announces her peaceful passing at The Turnbull Nursing Home on Thursday, December 26, 2024.
Catherine was blessed with ninety-eight remarkable years filled with love, laughter and a life well-lived.
Born in Saint John, N.B., she was the daughter of her late faithful parents, Thomas and Bertha Anne McCarthy. Catherine was one of eleven siblings and was the oldest living member of her very proud Irish McCarthy family.
Catherine was well known for her endless energy as she was a great walker, meticulous housekeeper, and had an outstanding sense of fashion and style. Her sweet nature and bubbly laugh lit up any room she entered, and made everyone she met feel that they were very special to her.
Cartherine leaves behind her daughters Gale Ramsey and Donna Belding (Johnny); grandchildren Dean Wilson (Kerry), Keith Wilson (Angela), Broc Belding (Troy), Kala Belding (Michel), Kara Pitre (Aric), Brent Belding, Kendra Belding (Russell); eight great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Catherine was predeceased by her first husband, James Ramsey; second husband, John Cole; sons Jonathan and Kevin Cole; siblings Margaret, Helen, Rita, Connie, Muriel, Frances, Joan, Christina, Ronald and John.
Catherine's family would like to thank the staff of The Turnbull Nursing Home for their dedication and kindness they so graciously provided to our loved family member. A special thank you to Tiffany for the exceptional compassion and care she extended to our mother.
