Obituary of Carl Louis Daigle
The death of Carl Daigle of Saint John, cherished husband of Donna Daigle, occurred on Wednesday, January 1, 2025 at Shannex Cohen Hall. Born on June 2, 1944 in Saint John, he was a son of the late Alexander and Delina (Breau) Daigle.
Prior to retiring, Carl had a 35-year career working as a police officer with the Saint John Police Force. He loved listening to country music (especially Merl Haggard), was an avid sports fan and enjoyed playing softball in his earlier years.
In addition to his wife, Donna, Carl is survived by his sister, Odette Hurley of Spencer, MA; brothers, Ronald Daigle of Saint John, Ralph Daigle of Quispamsis and Al Daigle of Neptune City, NJ; brother-in-law, Stan Okopien and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his twin brother, Gerald Daigle; sisters, Carmel McCaig (Gerard), Evelyn Daigle (Pete Levoie) and Helen Okopien; sisters-in-law, Lorna Daigle, Angela Daigle and Cindy Daigle.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506-634-7424) where visitation will take place on Monday, January 6, 2025 from 2:00 - 6:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Joseph’s Church, 4347 Loch Lomond Road, Saint John on Tuesday, January 7, 2025 at 11:00 AM. Interment will take place in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
