Obituary of Vera Mae Templeton
The death of Vera Templeton of Saint John, cherished wife of the late James Templeton, occurred on Wednesday, January 8, 2025 at Rocmaura Nursing Home. Born on October 18, 1933 in Petitcodiac, she was the daughter of the late Edward Everett and Travilla V. (Nickerson) Coates.
Prior to her retirement, Vera was employed as a computer operator with Coastal Bearings. She enjoyed bowling, learned how to roller skate in her 60s, loved to speed skate in her earlier years and always looked forward to singing in a local band with her husband, James. Vera will be greatly missed.
Vera will be lovingly remembered by her children, Kirby (Doris) Templeton and their son, Ian; Jody Templeton (Lorriane) and their children, Christopher and Colleen; Carla Smith (John) and their son, Dylan; Elaine Armstrong (Dave) and their children, Corey, Coby, Colin and Keyara; granddaughter, Kyla Crookes; cousins, nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her son, Glenn; grandson, Cody and brother, Eldon.
Visitation will take place on Thursday, January 16, 2025 from 12:00 - 1:00 PM with a funeral service immediately beginning at 1:00 PM all from Brenan’s Funeral Home Chapel, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506-634-7424). Interment will take place at a later date in Maplewood Cemetery, Havelock.
