Lynne, Jon, Andrew, Val and families, I was saddened to hear of Wally’s death and my thoughts are with you all during this sad time. I knew Wally before I knew Jon and Andrew, during his many years as chaplain at Camp Medley and I can picture him now planting flowers around the old dining hall chimney, as was his practice for many years. Wally was kind and cared about people and that laugh, it was wonderful and it could lift a room. Wally had much in common with my father and having just gone through his death I know some of what you are all going through during this loss. I’m glad and thankful to have known Wally and I wish you all peace during this time.

Wally exemplified a life in faith. His compassion and kindness got me and my family through some dark times. I was a layreader for him at St. George's and St. Andrews here in Moncton. I had worked with him previously through his many visits to the Parish of Salisbury and Havelock. My first visit to St. George's saw Wally call me out of the congregation to assist him with a communion service. He recognized me from his visits to Salisbury. I'll miss his sense of humour and laughter and the sincerity with which he said, "Bless you heart". There were a few times when I am pretty sure he meant it as a curse. Nevertheless, one of the kindest people I have ever met. We will miss him

Our dearest Lynne and family,
We are so grateful to God for the love, prayers, phone calls, visits and stories (many, many stories) from our dear friend, fellow evangelist and brother in Christ Wally. You have both been a a significant part of our lives for so many years and we have been greatly blessed by you both. We shall miss our visits with Wally, his laughter and genuine love for Jesus always brightened our days and left us feeling better. The Lord brought you both into our lives and you were, in every way, family to us. Unfortunately, we are unable to be with you in these days but please know that you are in our hearts, our thoughts and prayers as you celebrate a life well lived for Jesus and mark Wally’s home going. May God’s presence support, sustain and surround you all in these days.
With our love and prayers,

Lynne and family,
Pastoral is the word that sums up Wally. Always there with a gentle manner to listen and pray. One felt you were in the presence of the Lord. Such a prayer warrior including being on the Prayer Chain at Stone ( a long with you Lynne such a team) opened up opportunity for wonderful inspiring conversations that encouraged one’s faith in our Lord. Everything was always on the other person’s needs not his. Wally’s love of the Lord touched all that met him. Lynne you made a wonderful christian team , an inspiration to others and the legacy lives on. Our thoughts and prayers are with you as you celebrate a life well lived.

Wally has been apart of our lives for almost 45 years. We first met Wally at St James Church Broad Street when he became the minister in 1980. He baptized our 3 daughters. When St James closed we went to All Saints Park Ave and Wally was a fill in minister at that time and he was there when one of our grandsons got baptized. When that church closed we became members of St. Mary St Bartholomew Church Wally was there as one of the assistant ministers.
Lynn you are in our thoughts and prayers. Rest in peace Wally.

Dear Lynne and family. Our sincere and heartfelt condolences. Wally was a beloved friend whose kindness and compassion touched us and everyone he encountered. His ability to listen with genuine care and offer support made him a steady presence in our lives. We are so happy we were able to spend some time with him in October. In times of joy and sorrow, he was the kind of person you'd want by your side when your time came, offering a comforting hand and a compassionate heart and words. His leadership was marked by humility and grace, always guiding others with wisdom and love. Dear Lynne and Family,
Our family will deeply miss Wally. He married us years ago, calming a very nervous groom just moments before the ceremony with his gentle kindness and joyful sense of humor—something Bret often remembers when he reflects on that day. In later years, our children always wanted to spend a moment with Wally after Sunday service, as he made the effort to make them feel special, and this continued as they grew into young adults. We are grateful for the opportunity to know Wally, and we praise God for his life.
