I was so sad to hear about Bobbys passing, my thoughts and prayers go out to the family. It is not only a tremendous loss for his loved ones and those close to him but also to the city of Saint John and the sports community. Bob was an avid supporter of sports, whether it was as a coach or as a fan - he dedicated so much of his time and energy to giving back! I was fortunate to have played for Bob on numerous occasions. My memories of him bring a smile to my face and a rush of so many positive moments from playing ball in Saint John. I hope some day you will be waving me home many years from now, just from a different baseline! RIP my friend.

While visiting Saint John in 2003 I had the privilege of meeting Bob Galbraith. Upon departure he drove me to the airport, bought me a cup of Tim Horton's and gave me six cigarettes. Thirteen years later when I returned to Saint John for the final time he picked me up from the airport, treated me to dinner at Irving's and offered to accompany me to my deceased mother's apartment. Bob was loved so deeply by his wife of almost half a century and adored by his mother. Father of three, brother of four, grandfather of four, uncle of eleven - he wore so many hats. When asked how he was feeling, he always replied one hundred per cent. Yes, Bob Galbraith, you were always one hundred per cent; kind and generous to many - respected by all.

Bob was the best Little League coach that you could ever have had. He had such a beautiful heart. He will be forever missed and I will keep him in my prayers.
