Obituary of Peter Linden Fenety

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Peter Fenety of St. Andrews, NB , husband of Lois J. (Fowler) Fenety, announce his passing, which occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Monday, June 25, 2018. Born in Saint John, N.B., he was a son to his birth mother, the late Irene Hibbert, and his adoptive mother, the late Ruth (Trueman) Fenety. Peter worked as an Air Traffic Controller in Moncton before retiring as a Geologist. He received his Bachelor of Environmental Science with a major in Geography from the University of Waterloo, was a member of New Brunswick Prospectors and Developers Association, a former Chair of the South West Solid Waste Commission, a member of the Managerial Commission of BoFEP, and received his PADI 45 year award. In addition to his loving wife, Lois, Peter is survived by his sons, David (Joyce Thompson) and Steven (Nieva Palmer); grandchildren: Lauren, Brycen, and Ainsley Fenety; brother, Andrew Hibbert; and several nieces and nephews. Peter was very proud of his family and will be greatly missed by all. Arrangements are under the care of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424). In keeping with Peter’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service at this time. A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
