Obituary of Gail Marjorie Walsh
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gail Walsh of Saint John that occurred on December 29, 2010 at the Saint John Regional Hospital with her husband at her side. Gail passed away at the age of 49, after a brief battle with cancer. Born in Oromocto, NB, she was the daughter of Albert and Irene Scott. Gail was predeceased by her mother in 1999 and her brother Greg, in 2005. Gail is survived by her loving and devoted husband Eric Walsh, who she loved more than words, could express. They shared 27 beautiful years of marriage together, along with their beloved dog, Bailey, who she adored. Gail loved her family greatly and cherished her time spent with those who meant so much to her. Gail is also survived by her brothers, Mark Scott (Allison), and Tim Scott (Cathy), and her sister, Lori Scott, as well as her nieces, Amanda and Jessica, and nephew, Robert. Gail has several relatives on both sides of her family that she was very close with. Gail worked at Princess Elizabeth School, where she had a passion for children and enjoyed her work tremendously. Gail will be sadly missed, by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Thursday, December 30, 2010 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Pius X Church, Somerset Street on Friday, December 31, 2010 at 10:00 am. Interment in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to any charity of the donor’s choice. Online condolences may be placed at www.brenansfh.com.
