Obituary of Gisèle Marie Léonie Arseneau
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Gisèle Arseneau, wife of the late Stanley V. Baird, announces her passing, which occurred on Wednesday, January 9, 2019. Born in Rogersville, NB on October 22, 1953, she was a daughter of the late Raphael and Elvina (Boucher) Arseneau.
Gisèle was an adventurous, outgoing woman who cared about people. She enjoyed skiing, running and traveling as well as giving back to her community through charities and volunteer work. She also looked forward to being able to host family gatherings. She will be missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Gisèle will be missed by her children, Tony Baird (Melanie Sheppard-Baird) and Sarah Baird (Craig MacQuilkan); her grandchildren, Emily (Dustin) and their daughter Robin; Matthew and Samuel; her siblings, Paul (Pat), Louis (Wendy), Jean Guy, Leonard, Robert (Francine), Rochelle (Peter) and Jacqueline (Allan); as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to her parents and husband, Gisèle was predeceased by her son Scott Baird; and a brother Norman.
Gisèle is resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424) with visitation on Wednesday, January 16, 2019 from 4-8 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from Holy Redeemer Parish (St. Pius X – 316 Somerset St.) on Thursday, January 17, 2019 at 12:00 pm.
