Obituary of Jane Heather Langstroth

The death of Jane Langstroth of Saint John occurred on Thursday, May 30, 2019 at the Saint John Regional Hospital.  Born on February 4, 1946 in Saint John, she was the daughter of the late Dr. Robert “Bob” and Isabel (McConnell) Langstroth.

Prior to her retirement, Jane had a long working career as a teacher with various schools throughout the city.  Jane and her sister Carol had a special sisterly bond and together they enjoyed travelling adventures, a shared love for music and they looked forward to movie nights with friends.  Jane liked to garden and was an avid reader.

Jane will be lovingly remembered by her sister, Carol Langstroth of Saint John; brother-in-law, Brien Willoughby of Prince Edward Island and his family, cousins and special friends.  Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Ann Langstroth Willoughby.

Although there will be no visitation, relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Jane’s Life, which will be held at Brenan’s Funeral Home Chapel, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) on Thursday, June 20, 2019 at 1:00 PM.  Interment will take place in Fernhill Cemetery.

For those who wish, remembrances may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
