Memories
Dad had loved to play the guitar when I was younger. I remember his guitar and amplifier. He had a love of music.
I remember various camping trips with our tent trailer when I was younger. Sitting around campfires. Then when it was past my bedtime I would watch all the adults from my bed listening to the music, all the laughter...
Dad loved his seafood.I remember clam digging in pei years ago with dad. We would walk the beach for hours. And whenever we went fishing he never made a fuss when I made him bait my hook or when I would get my hook caught in a tree branch instead of a fish.

Carrie, Cheryl and Sandra - Words can not express how sorry I am to hear of Daryl's passing. He was such a wonderful man. From the early years when I would hang out at your house to when I worked for Sandra he was always a friendly presence

My last visit with papa was about 2 1/2 weeks ago. We were sitting on papa's deck
He said "Those are some nifty tattoos you've got there, I was thinking of getting some when I get older too, you'll have to give me the name of your artist."
We laughed about this joke and continued talking about tattoos, him giving advice on how to add some colors to enhance them and make them pop out more.

Daryl could never find exactly what he was looking for. He would always get several different versions of what he wanted and take this from that or that from this and piece together exactly what he wanted.

Everyone knows Daryl always loved Dairy Queen icecream cakes. It didn't matter who's birthday it was, or what the occasion. He was always looking for an excuse to buy an icecream cake. And he would always come out with " I bought your favorite ". It didn't matter if you even liked icecream cakes it was always "your" favorite.
Gonna miss you Daryl.

My favorite memories of Dad are times we spent together when he would come to Moncton to visit me.
A few years back Dad and I spent a few weeks together building a new deck. I really enjoyed that as I had never done anything like that before. Dad was so smart. He could build or fix anything.
Every summer he would come to moncton and go to the car shows. We would walk around there for hours and he would reminisce about old cars he had...
He would also love to come to moncton whenever I was on vacation. He had his rituals. If he wasn't puttering around my house fixing or building something,(which he usually found something) he had his favorite stores we had to go to. I never met someone that could shop like him. He would go for hours in and out of stores every day...
I am so grateful for the time we spent together and will cherish these memories always.

One of my favourite memories with Dad were our trips over to PEI to visit my Sister while she was going to school there. The ferry was still running then so it was quite a Journey for me and my Sheltie that we’d bring.
I also remember our Christmas Eve shopping trip to buy moms’ hope chest, it was storming quite bad when we left and a tricky drive home.
Another favourite, our trips through the woods to cut down the perfect tree~ just like National Lampoons!
Dad and I would go snowmobiling, four wheeling, ice fishing, and we’d put a boat into pretty well any lake and go fishing.....
Our best trip ( I think), was fishing in BackBay for flounder..... they were a lot of fun to fish!
