Pattie, so sorry to hear of Tim's passing. After graduating from High School I went to work at Keystone Printing with Tim for over 25 years. Tim was indeed a special person - he guided me along the way. Many fond memories over the years. He was truly a family man -- remember when his children were born and he was so proud - they meant the world to him. Our thoughts and prayers are with you Pattie and family at this sad time.

I met Tim Withers for the first time in 1974 when a former employee recommended the company hire a friend of his who had taken a year off after graduating from university to visit Mexico and South America. Tim proved his friend was right, turning out to be a good fit for Keystone Printing, settling into the company, and taking on more duties as the years passed.
Tim’s affable personality made him a valuable asset to the company in dealing with customers, while his enthusiasm for newly emerging technology and software developed into an impressive expertise. Upon the retirement of the company’s comptroller, Tim moved up into the position, bringing his reliable judgement in financial matters to the fore.
Tim was unfailingly loyal, deeply committed to doing the best job possible, and maintained a fair and equitable relationship as a manager to the company’s employees. During the more than 25 years we worked together, Tim became an officer of the company and a member of the Board of Directors as Secretary-Treasurer.
Although ours was a work relationship, it was nevertheless a solid and dependable friendship in that context. I have always regarded Tim as a close friend and I will miss him greatly.

Ron Heans sent me a message this morning telling me of Tim’s death. I was one of the group of kids that spent summers together on Long Reach, during the early sixties. The time all of us spent together was so wonderfully carefree and so much fun.
Tim’s kindness, generosity and creativity was apparent even then. We lost touch over the years but, I do remember running into him in a jewellery store, right after the birth of one of his children. He was in the process of buying his wife a present to celebrate her giving birth. Tim told me was very excited about the new addition to his family and that he was very happy to be a husband and father.
To all his family and friends, my most sincere condolences.
Bev Stuart

Patti sending you huge hugs and prayers for you and your family to help get you through this sad and difficult time. Your daughter is so right in saying you are never prepared to say goodbye. You and Tim were an awesome couple and remind me of Don and me. You had a wonderful life together and so much love. I hope that all your memories and your family especially the grandchildren help fill the void and heartache. Remember Heaven isn't as far away as we think. Tim is and always will be by your side. Xoxo

My memories of Tim begin when I was a little girl down at "The Withers" in my happiest times which were my childhood summers. I usually arrived as the shy sidekick of my sister Shannon. Tim always referred to us as "gigs and little gigs". I was the "little gigs"...we were always giggling. Even this little gesture made me feel special, which Tim always seemed to do in his quiet mild-like manner. I remember Tim always being around when I was around...often tinkering on this or that with Larry or Paul, tinkering with the boat, or in the barn retrieving some type of nut or bolt. As I grew older I remember being towed on waterskiies with Tim driving and beaming with happiness, joining in on bonfires with Tim there, the list goes on and on. There were the dances, plays, movies and talent shows and "Olympics".Tim was always there and played an important role in all these events making my summers truly magical.
I have one vivid memory when Kate Scarth and I had a "sleepover gone wrong" down at the beach. We ended up on the deck of the camp. When we woke up we were ushered inside to wash our hands and when we arrived in the kitchen Tim told us to sit down while he cooked some bacon and we enjoyed a lovely breakfast with the family. Another memory I have of Tim was once I decided to go for swim at the beach when noone was around. Tim must have seen me walk down. I recall being out by the raft swimming and seeing Tim walk down to the beach and sit down. He didn't say anything but watched me ...supervising to make sure I was ok. When I got out he quietly got up and continued with whatever he been doing. It always struck me how he was quietly there for me. These sort of gestures by Tim remained ever-present.
Childhood memories turned into adulthood memories. Tim was the ever-present person always there , always steady, always strong. When I was learning to play the guitar I remember Tim's quiet words of encouragement while I strummed away the strings of the guitar with John in the barn.
When I think of Tim and the memories over the years often the memories are of his presence rather than a particular exchange. A presence of kindness and love...When my brother Evan died and the ten years following, he was there for my family in countless ways (too many to list here yet each one deeply heartfelt and significantly impactful to my family), when I got married he was there, when my first son Declan was born he had taken a stunning picture of the sunset from the beach in the moments Declan was being born. I was given this picture as a gift and it stands as a reminder of his quiet kindness, his thoughtfulness, his sweetness and his constant presence of the bond between his family and mine.
Patti, Katie, Melenie, John, Larry, Jane, Paul and all other members of the family...I'm so so sorry for the loss of your beloved Tim. He was one of a kind in so many ways. I will miss him very much. I will cherish my memories ( childhood until recently) of Tim for the rest of my life.
Love always,
Leah
