We were so sorry to read about the passing of our coffee buddy Joy! This is a picture of her with my husband Lenny. We enjoyed spending time with her over the years at Tim Hortons. She had the funniest comments and spoke her mind always. We miss those times so much. She would leave you with the comment, "Carry on Canada" R.I.P. our dear friend Joy, Caroline and Lenny Clark

Although we lived in different provinces and I seldom saw her, Auntie Joy left quite an impression on me. She was a well dressed, charming lady who was forthright and upbeat. She was the older of my father Victor's younger sisters, and he thought quite a lot of her and admired her intelligence and ambition. Without him saying it, I got the message Auntie Joy's drive was something to aspire to. The few times I saw her as an adult, I enjoyed sitting and listening to her and Auntie Joan talk - they both had a way of putting things that was very entertaining. I am glad my girls got to meet her! I found this old picture in my parents’ album, showing her as an attractive young lady in 1955.
I’ll always cherish the memories and photos of Auntie Joy and wish that we lived closer. Condolences from our family in Manitoba to our family in NB, for whom Joy was such a beloved family member.

I always called her ‘Joy To The World’ for indeed she was a joy to me and my wife. For a number of years I was Joy’s Pastor. Joy was one of the most friendly, cheerful, helpful persons I had known. Meeting and chatting with Joy was a real blessing. I am so thankful for having known her and for her many years of life. To all of Joy’s Family Iris and send our deepest sympathy. In the days ahead may you all know Peace and Joy that goes beyond all understanding.

I had the good fortune to work with Mrs. Ellis at Birks as a young student. She was the epitome of a proper lady. She and many of the other staff took me under their wings and taught me so much. Mrs. Ellis was a wonderful person and shall be missed. I am fortunate to have many fond memories of her.
