Obituary of Michele Suzanne Burke

It is with heartfelt sorrow that our family announces the passing of Michele Suzanne Burke.  Michele was granted her angel wings on August 21st, 2020 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Her final days were spent surrounded by family and friends that Michele had touched in some small way throughout her short, yet very memorable life.

Michele’s life would seem too short to many, but those who were touched by her understood that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives. Her warm smile, gentle touch and girlish laugh brought so much joy to everyone.

Although she was tiny and frail, she gave all of us courage and hope, reminding us of the preciousness of life. She loved music and would spend hours rocking in her favorite chair while singing to those she loved so much.

Michele is survived by her loving family, daughter Melissa (Paul) Jensen; son Jamie (Dale) Burke; and grandchildren Alisha, Ryan and Nicholas. She will also be fondly remembered by one brother, Albert Patterson; three sisters Dani Martin, Patricia Duplessis, and Nancy Lunney;and many nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.

Michele was predeceased by her beloved husband and soul mate James Ronald Burke, parents Albert & Margaret Patterson and Sister Margaret Ruth Grant.

Arrangements are under the care of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424). As per Michele’s request, there will be no visitation. A funeral Service will take place on Thursday, August 27, 2020 from St Pius X (Holy Redeemer Parish) at 9:00 AM. Donations in Michele’s memory can be made to the Alzheimer Society of New Brunswick or the Romero House. Online condolences may be made at www.BrenansFH.com
