Obituary of Albert John Patterson
It is with much sadness that we announce the passing of Albert "Tinker" John Patterson on January 31, 2021 at Saint John Regional Hospital, at the age of 83.
Born December 26, 1937 to Albert and Margaret Patterson in Saint John, NB, Albert was a huge lover of the outdoors. An avid fisherman, golfer, and hockey enthusiast, he was never happier than when spending time outside. His love for animals in their natural habitat brought him much joy. Albert's career as an Insurance Broker at Fowler Insurance spanned over 40 years.
Albert is survived by his loving family, sons: Chris (Sue) Patterson, James (Candace) Patterson, and Greg (Renee) Patterson; daughter, Lynn Macaulay; his former spouse and mother of their children, Miriam (Fagan) Patterson; as well as his six grandchildren: Daniel, Ashley, Andrew, Kendra, Grant, Shailee; and great grandchildren, Grayson, and Garrett. He will also be remembered by his sisters: Dani Martin, Patricia Duplessis, and Nancy Lunney; and many nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.
Albert was predeceased by his parents, Albert and Margaret; and by his sisters, Margaret Ruth Grant and Michele Burke.
Arrangements are under the care and directions of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424). In accordance with Albert's wishes, there will be no funeral or celebration of life, rather a private family service only. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of New Brunswick. Please place online condolences and remembrances at www.BrenansFH.com.
