Mark and Leah, So sorry to hear about your Mom. I have a lot of very fond memories of Aunt Dot. When ever I think of Aunt Dot, one thing I always recall, is that she was very serious and committed to whatever she did at Crystal Beach. I recall walking into the Canteen numerous times, and she would always have a serious look about her. But then would bring out my order, and many times, would not take my money, and say, you're family, and give me a grin. But there were also times, I would hear Aunt Dot genuinely laugh, she had a great sense of Humour as well. She will missed.
My Condolence's.

Mark and Leah...so sad to hear of Dot's passing. Some of my best memories happened at Crystal Beach. She treated us all like her own. Warm smiles, good advise and a kick in the ass when needed. Loved how she kept our pictures on the canteen wall like we were family. Heaven got a good one. Love to you both Alison Bissett.

Mark and family, sincere condolences on the passing of your mom. This year has been quite difficult with the passing of both of your parents. The good news for them is that they are together once again. Hope family memories (especially those from Crystal Beach where they worked very hard side-by-side for years) will bring you some comfort and peace. Take care and God Bless.

I am so sad to be reading the passing of your mom. She was a dear past patient at one of the dental clinics where I work for 15 years as a Dental Assistant. She and David were such a joy to hear their stories from the campground. Family was everything to your mom, and she always updated me when she came in for treatment. Sending my deepest condolences to the whole Murchison family.

I had the good fortune to assist Dot professionally and personally. She was a strong admirable responsible woman who was always very forthright in her opinions.. The care and support she provided to her late husband David over a very extended period of time demonstrated what the marriage vows truly mean. Condolences to her two children and her grandchildren.

Mark, Leah and families: Our sincere sympathy on the passing of your mom. Your family was part of our neighbourhood for most of our family's life and we have great memories of a wonderful group of neighbours. Whether it was collecting for the Heart and Stroke, visiting our home, teaching me to make hospital corners to pass a girl guide badge or putting up with a group of noisy boys she was always kind and gentle. That big white house will always be "The Murchison's." to us. You are in our thoughts and prayers. Claire and Keith Fairweather

Crystal Beach was my summer home so many years as a teenager. Camped there with my parents, friends and family. One of my wedding showers was held there in the campground. I worked many summer vacations at the canteen along with the rest of the crew. I had great admiration for both Dot and Dave...wonderful people...extened family. I am so very sorry to hear of Dot’s passing, my sincere condolences to you all. Please know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers at this difficult time.

Leah , Mark and families - We were so sorry to hear of Dot's passing. We have years and years of great memories that took place at Crystal Beach. Dot was truly an icon there - She WAS Crystal Beach ! The more I got to know her, I realized what a great wit she had. I got a real kick out of her matter of fact comments - she wasn't in your face, but she got her point of view across very tactfully. We still laugh about the time we were at one of Dot's Big Breakfasts on Sunday morning, when Dot was passing out the orange juice. The glasses were about 2/3 full. When I asked about getting a full one, she said "most people aren't drinking it all, so were not going to fill them. If you want some more, just come back and get some!" At our house, I'll sometimes serve a drink that's 2/3 full, and say "That's a Dot portion."Please take comfort in this time of grief in knowing that she touched a great many lives, and will be missed by all of us. Mark, Leah and Family,
So sorry to hear about Dot's passing. We always had good chats and fun times at Crystal Beach with her and Dave too. Loved working at the Canteen and had good times when I would come to visit (with or without a bottle of wine, lol). I think about everyone over at Crystal everyday when I look out my windows from across the river at Westfield. Sending our condolences to everyone.

Mark & Family. I am very sorry to hear of your mothers passing. As a young kid working for Willett Foods, I would drive up to Crystal Beach and David would greet me at the gate. After a 20 minute conversation I would get to the back door of the canteen where your mom would let me in. She was always kind and genuinely happy to see me. As a young salesman she always treated me very well. I remember those days fondly. She will be missed ! God Bless Scott & Janet MacKnight

I am so sorry Leah and Mark to hear of your Mom's passing. I will forever remember her at Crystal Beach and talking in the canteen or on the back stoop. She had shared with me some of her earlier married life and before memories of dancing nights etc. She also remembered my Mom and her 2 brothers as teenagers and gave me a few laughs! I honestly enjoyed all talks with your Mom. She was a deeply caring person and loved spending her time at Crystal with your Dad and watching you two grow up! Condolences Cheryl DeBouver
