Obituary of Tracy Joseph Cleary

It is with profound sadness that the family of Tracy J. Cleary announces his passing on November 26th, 2021, at the Saint John Regional Hospital in his 86th year. Tracy was born on July 7th, 1935, in Cascapedia - St. Jules, Quebec, to his loving parents Joseph and Margaret (nee Barter) Cleary.

Tracy graduated from high school at the age of 16 and began his career with the Toronto Dominion bank. He soon joined Irving Oil and was a dedicated employee, enjoying 36 years until his retirement.

The chalet in St Jules Quebec was a special place where Tracy loved spending time with family and fishing the Cascapedia River. Fond family memories are held of campfire stories, the fairy circle, and fishing in the brook. Tracy loved photography and travel, and he was actively involved with Trinity Church.

Tracy is survived by his loving wife Claire, his daughter Faye Cleary Allen (Patrick) and grandchildren Brittney and Mark (Allen); Claire’s sons Michael (Gillian) and Gregory (Tracey), and her grandchildren Sarah, Spencer, Adrian, and Ella (Haycox), and Riley and Sterling (McLaughlin); his sisters Phyllis (Cleary) and Isabel (Cleary) and several nieces and nephews. Tracy will now be reunited with brothers Wilson, William, and John, his parents, and Claire’s daughter Janice (Mark) McLaughlin.
