Katrina & Kier Please know you have been in my thoughts with the loss of your wonderful independent mom. I admired her greatly and always enjoyed our chats when she would come into the bank or meeting up at local grocery store. Health and indepenence are the greatest gifts in life and it must give you comfort with memories of her forging on her own path . You wrote a beautiful obituary and said it so well. my sincere sympathy to you both.

I am so sorry for your loss. Vanda and I had been friends for about 68 years, first in Saint John and then by mail and email after I moved to Halifax. Katrina, our deepest sympathy on the passing of your Mom. We have so many fond memories of your whole family. Janet and I were fortunate enough to visit with Vanda at Bobbies in her final days. Vanda was always kind , upbeat , loved to yard sale and always took the time to catch up on the latest news. We always remember the baseball games, screen ball until dark. Then over to the Whites or Emmerson's to play cards. Over the last 55 years we have built a lasting friendship and built many memories with the entire White family. Katrina So sorry to read your mom's obituary this morning. It brought back so many memories! When I drive by Mom and Dad's old place I get flashbacks of all my childhood memories. A few years ago, when your mom was out in the yard, my granddaughters and I stopped by for a visit. It was just Iike old times. She was my last tie to Braemar Dr. All the ball games, road hockey, football games and sifting sand etc on that street and backyards. Good times. Great neighbours! Always loved chatting with your parents. The good ol' days! Our heartfelt sympathy.
