Louise and I are deeply saddened by the news of Peter’s sudden passing. It was but a few weeks ago that Louise and Peter enjoyed friendly conversation during one of our regular walks through his neighbourhood. Peter was always a wonderful conversationalist. His warmth, intelligence and love of life made him a great friend. Peter was also an accomplished sailor and his many adventures racing “Ultimate Investment” will have resonance for those who were privileged to be part of his crew. Peter shared his wisdom, sense of humour and vast talents with a human generosity that was truly unique. Louise and I extend our heartfelt condolences to Signe and all the members of Peter’s family.

I recently ( in the past year) made contact with Peter after not seeing him for years. I remember him well for his wonderful guitar playing at Dalhousie University back in the sixties. Peter and Daryal Hynick would place their amps iin the hall window and play jazzed up rock and roll versions of favourite hymns out over the courtyard. It brought smiles to the student’s faces although was probably not appreciated by King’s college administration.
Condolences to Peter’s family. He was a great fellow. I will cherish his memory.

Peter was my lifelong friend . We grew up together in Lunenburg
and were in touch almost daily. We went to school , university together and played in the
band the "Presidents" at many Dalhousie University parties. He was the best man at my
wedding.
We had many common interests , music and sailing on the "Gypsy" to name a couple .
He was the best friend anyone could wish for. He was always happy, joyful and full of fun.
Peter and Signe had a wonderful and happy marriage.
Donalda and I often spoke of Peter and Signe and how wonderful Signe made Peter's life.
We offer our sincere sympathy to all of the family.

The both of you enjoyed a wonderful joyful marriage that was evident to all of us who knew the both of you. Peter was one of the most positive welcoming gentleman I have had the pleasure of being an acquaintance since we first met well over 40 years ago. Suffice to say you and I go back well over 50 years.
