So sorry to read of Ann's passing. Our condolences to her family. Ann was a valued member of St, Alban's Church in Delhi, Ont. It is just a short distance from her home in Simcoe which was a beautiful backdrop for our annual fashion shows. Her many talents will surely be missed by many.

So very sorry for your loss. Ann was a friend of my mother, Mary Edmonds of Simcoe Ont.. I have many memories of Ann coming to our home to celebrate many events. My sister and I were recipients of some of her lovely clothes. I also had the pleasure of visiting her garden. My mother passed away in January and it was very nice of Ann to reach out to our family. Ann was a very lovely lady and it is very sad that she is gone. Cathy Edwards (Edmonds)

Ann's family and friends,
My condolences to you the passing of your dear family member and friend.
Ann attended the same church as myself; she was such a gifted lady, with great talent. I was involved in the fashion shows that our church organized, at the home of Ann, just outside of Simcoe Ont., which was a beautiful escape for a summer fashion show. Modelling throughout her beautiful gardens was like a breath of fresh air, and all had a wonderful afternoon.
It was with great pleasure to purchase her book titled "Colonial Adventure and other Stories" which I appreciated very much, and now I feel I would like to recapture her stories once more.
Memories are treasures, that remain with us forever, and may you treasure those memories.
Blessings,
Margaret Saunders

Memories of a sister.
Ann joined our family when she married my eldest brother John in the early 70’s.
Having Ann join our family of 3 rag a muffin boys brought a lot of happiness to my late mother who spent so many hours with Ann especially sharing time together in stone sculpturing, clay and metal work.
Their love of Art was a shared wealth.
Having grown up in the bush together with John I loved to spend quality time with Ann and John and have some amazing memories of Mare Estates and of Anns parents, Rolf and Helen and also Aunt Peggy Forrester.
Unfortunately the growing conflicts in Africa blew us all apart as a family as we disappeared into different corners of the world.
I was blessed to spend time with Ann and John back in 2003 and sat late into the night sharing untold stories of our past and history.
Inna loved shopping with Ann and they shared the same passion for fashion.
Inna and our youngest son Simon John again spent time to visit John and Ann in Ontario in 2015
After Johns death in 2017 I kept up to speed with Ann through phone calls and we shared long conversations and much laughter.
Her passing ends a special dynasty that I was lucky to be part of and that very few will know or understand as the sands of time
slowly wash the memories away.
Sleep well my sister
We love and miss you so much

Aunt Ann was a true treasure! Somehow, they simple don't make models like her much anymore. Incredibly erudite, talented, a polyglot, well travelled and feisty - although slight in frame, her stature and quirky elegance delicately outshone many! Ever a champion of the arts and creativity she found special joy and fascination in seeing things differently. Given her command of so many languages, it is often said that life become that much more colourful - you can express and capture moments and feeling ever more subtly and many simply don't translate! This she did beautifully, in person and in her writings. She will be deeply missed by all the family and cousins around the world but most especially her brother's wife, Janice, their children, Jennifer and Colin and grandchildren Neil and Andrew. As I dabble in family records, genealogy, and photos of times gone by, I came across a couple here from Aunt Ann's life in former Rhodesia, Africa, where she is enjoying a glass of bubbly with her own Aunt (my grandmother, Peggy (Waldschütz) Forrester, her parents, Rolf (with the pipe) and her mother Helen (pink and white dress in the corner) and friends. I'd like to think Aunt Ann is as happy now and she was then, reunited with her brother, Christopher and her parents, smiling down on all of us. May she rest in peace.

I love you so much.
I saw two squirrels the other day
One was brown the other grey
One was older the other spryer
They ran and played from sea to spire
They sang an ancient melody
With words I know in harmony
I miss you so much

Dear Jennifer and all Ann’s family
We are so sorry to hear of Ann’s passing. She was a lovely neighbour and so well liked by everyone. She always had time to stop and chat. I marvelled at her desire to be out and about in the community. She could be seen anywhere from the market to the square. She put many miles on her walker. A very lovely “ lady” !!
We are thinking of you all at this sad time
