I’m at a loss for words, I called my sweet girlfriend Robena yesterday to wish her a Happy 74th Birthday. Her cell phone was disconnected so I called Basil and he shared the devasting news that Robena had passed. Robena and I have been dear friends since we were 8 years old in Dorchester, NB. My family moved away when I was 14 to Denver, Colorado, USA. I promised Robena I would call her every year on her birthday and yesterday was 60 years that I have faithfully called my girlfriend. I can’t express the tears and sadness in my heart. Robena you were my best friend, I will forever miss you and I thank our Lord Jesus Christ for having you as a friend for so many precious years. Basil, Nikki, Heather, Julie, Jermey, and family, I wish only for you to have a gentle healing process and beautiful memories, as I do, to fill your minds and hearts as you adjust to Robena’s passing. The empty feeling without Robena is painful but I hope and pray that space fills with peace. With all my love, thoughts, and prayers.
