Obituary of Doug Hovey

It is with great sadness that the family of Douglas Rex Hovey announce his passing on November 29, 2022 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on October 30, 1946 in Saint John, he was a son of the late Mary (King) and Ralph Hovey.

Doug was a kindhearted, hardworking man who would help anyone in need. He enjoyed playing baseball in his younger years. Doug also loved the outdoors and animals. He will be missed by his family and friends.

Doug is survived by his common law wife, Kim Barry; son, Mathew McLean; daughters, Jillian McLean, Beckie Noel and Denise; grandchildren, Emma, Cassidy, Maddux, Avery, Mischa, Thomas and William.

In addition to his parents, Doug was also predeceased by his brothers, Irvine, Ward, Edmund, Edward, Calvin, Melvin, Victor, Charles and Austin; his sisters, Alma, Lily, Mary, Violet and Joni.
