Jennifer, I was so sorry to hear about your mom. She was such a lovely lady, I remember working for her at Ida’s where I gained 20 pounds trying out different sundaes and milkshakes. She was always pleasant, no matter how miserable a customer may have been. Any time I saw her after that she was always the same, a true lady. Your mom and dad were a great couple. My condolences to you, David, Peter and John.

I have known Joan and Colin since they joined us at St. James the Less. She was a strong quiet person. So loving and wise. She and Colin had a romantic spark that time couldn't put out. We first came to know Joan through various Christian activities and especially Cursillo. She was always such a happy and outgoing person. It was so easy to form a friendship with her and Colin. Her strong faith in the Lord was very evident. It was during our many Cursillo activities that we formed a Godly friendship with Joan. In recent years I remember telling her that whenever we met, her very presence and smile just brought on such a feeling of happiness and peace and she possessed and showed that wonderful Joy Of The Lord. It was such a privilege to know Joan and become friends with her after I moved in to Cortland Place. I will miss her greatly and want her family, Peter, David, Jennifer and John, to know I loved her dearly and that I am thinking of all of you and that we have the assurance that we will see her again. Just knowing she is with Jesus is a comforting thought.
