Judy, losing a loved one is never easy and your mom was a special lady. I know your heart aches. Your parents were pillars in the community and I remember them well from St Andrew’s and St David’s. I’m glad to have considered you a friend through Sunday School and High School. I will think of you and pray that you find solace in the wonderful memories you carry.

To my cousins David, Judy, Margot, and their families. Cindy and I send our most heartfelt condolences upon learning of the death of our beloved Aunt Catherine. Many of my best memories have come from spending time at Acamac with Uncle John and Aunt Catherine living nearby in their trailer. We feel blessed to have recently visited Aunt Catherine at Acamac this November on our way back to Ontario. She had the same sincere laugh as she always had and was very interested in our plans to move back to Summerside. She was happy to hear we’d be close to Acamac and family once again. I’ve struggled for days to write something that could appropriately convey our sadness. We look forward to seeing everyone this summer, when we can share our stories and memories of Aunt Catherine, my father’s only sister. He and my mother grieve dearly with everyone, especially those who know how special the time spent at Acamac means to us all. It’s like another part of its history has been taken from us. It breaks my heart to write this. We love you all, are thinking of you, and feel regret that we haven’t been able to see you as often as we’d like. Uncle John once consoled me at a family funeral telling me that ‘he was now at peace’. I believe he would want everyone to know that Aunt Catherine is now at peace with him.

Neil and I were so thrilled to see Catherine at Christmas Eve services and get a chance to say hello. She looked lovely as always. I'm sure all of us at SASD remember working many community suppers and other church events along side her and John. Those two were a huge part of the very heart and soul of St. Andrew & St. David. Our condolences to Judy, Margot and David and all other family and friends who are mourning her passing. She willed certainly be missed.

Good memories of “Carh” at the golf club. Always entertaining and good company. I always marvelled at her daily swims in the St John River. She was one of the good ones.

It doesn't matter what age a friend is when she passes, it always feels too soon. Catherine and I sat side-by-side in the choir for years. She showed up for practices and services even when it became hard for her to drive the round trip to church. We will miss her. She and John were mainstays in the church, and both were instrumental in keeping it going over the years. RIP, my friend.
