So very saddened to hear about Irene’s passing . She was such a big part of my childhood. Spent many hours listening to her play the piano- she was so gifted. . Remembering happy times with Irene: her first trip to New Salem and Apple River, which included some time on Edgett's Beach; her joy at reconnecting with her brother, Paul; finally finding her "lost" sister, Dianne; summer visits on the Belmont Road which included cousin-bonding, lots of homemade strawberry jam, and batches of chocolate chip cookies; the evident pride and joy she showed regarding her six children and their accomplishments; and so much more.
