My heart is broke! Marlene, Jamie and to the rest of her family I am so sorry to learn of your moms passing! She was such an inspiration to all who knew her. I enjoyed chatting with her regularly as I work at the villa in our special care home, she would sit in the lobby and take part in group activities with her building friends. I want to mention as a young girl growing up North it was your mom whom I adored her taste and style! I would remind her every time I seen this beautiful lady! She was such a sharp dresser. She inspired me in many ways as my boys will agree to dress and match from head to toe. You were all so blessed to have had such a wonderful loving mother. I will miss seeing her and stopping to chat. Her memory will forever live on.

These are some of the first pictures I remember taking, at least the first with film my parents developed.
Summer 1988
Armed with a Kodak Winner Pocket camera I went to snap pictures around Clarendon St. . Jeanette was unwittingly a model that day. In fact, when she found out that I was actually taking real shots and not just playing with a toy she nearly took the camera away. Instead she snapped a quick one of me.
While I had my own astonishing mother (pictured with Jeanette on our family home's front steps), Jeanette would always be a ready substitute if mine was not around, both in caring and correction.
I spoke with her at the North End Sobeys barely a month ago and her laugh was as full as it was captured here, all those years ago.
