Obituary of Beulah Althea Lamb
It is with a heavy heart that the family of Beulah Althea Lamb announce her passing on December 9, 2024 at the age of 97. Beulah was born in Saint John, New Brunswick on August 1, 1927 and was a daughter of the late James and Beulah (Appleby) Kincade. For over 50 years, Beulah served her community as a hairdresser with many stories and laughs shared in her chair. She touched many with her kindness and her memory will forever leave an indelible mark on those who loved her.
In addition to her beloved husband Alex in 2014 with whom she shared nearly 67 years of wedded bliss, Beulah was predeceased by brothers Beverly, James, John and Murray Kincade, sisters Velma Hughes and Olive Walsh and son-in-law Nihat Ozerdem. She leaves behind her children Deborah McCormack and Mark (Kristen) Lamb, granddaughters Dr. Julie (Mark) Grabowy of Ottawa, Ontario, Dr. Jessica McCormack (Dr. Thanuka Wickramarathne) of Haverhill, Massachusetts, Ms. Magen Lamb of Saint John, N.B. and Ms. Nicole Lamb of Moncton, N.B. Her great-grandchildren Roman and Alexandra Grabowy and Lexie, Kylie and Nathan Lamb brought her great joy. In addition to her immediate family, Beulah is survived by sister Myrna (John) Lock of Kincardine, Ontario, brother-in-law Chesley (Joan) Lamb of Chipman, N.B., sisters-in-law Audrey and Betty Lamb of Saint John, many nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Lai and the staff of the Church of St. John and St. Stephen Care Home for their exceptional care. At Beulah’s request, there will be no visitation or service. In lieu of flowers, remembrances made to an animal shelter or to a charity of the donor’s choice in Beulah’s name would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements are in the compassionate care of Brenan’s Funeral Home (634-7424). Interment will take place in Ocean View Memorial Gardens at a later date.
