Dear Shirley's Family:
So sorry to see this.
Shirley and Kris were dear friends of my parents during the 1990's and I have the nicest memories of them. They were both warm, interesting and fun to be around.
With her cheerfulness, professional proficiency and sense of style, Shirley was a role model and one of a kind.

She was,to say,the least, extraordinary……this Madame Bourgeois…….and I mean, extraordinary.Everychild,at Rothesay Elementary wanted her as their, teacher, and every parent, was in awe, that this beautiful, vibrant loving human being, was going to influence their child, for a full year!! In our family,we had her for both,of our children, and as life continued, she was the favourite, and adored teacher of their lives.I know,I can speak, for many parents,of our era,she was Treasure,in action, loving, and adoring, with all her little chicks, and they all felt loved, and adored by her! Each child, she saw,as a treasure, and they,in turn, responded to her love and her joie de vivre!
I well, remember, her sense of fun, arranging, for each parent,to cut off the top,of a two litre of milk, and a face was made, with dangling ears, and this became each child’s,Dog,Bijoux,,,,,,and each night they came home with dog bones, made of cardboard, with the vocabulary, they were to learn, and after tested,at home, they would drop their dog bones( French vocabulary’s)
In their, milk carton,Bijoux, simply delighted.Honestly,we all came to adore,Shirley Bourgeois,Mr.Cotterill,( the principal) knew what a jewel, she was,and every teacher,at Rothesay Elementary, loved her dearly,as dis all we parents. When,I look back,on life,I can say she was such an extraordinary teacher, gift, and our lives, are all greater, because of the essence of whom, she was.! We are ,Madame Bourgeois,,sooo greatful for the enormous part, you played in all our lives. The beauty,,,,,,of a live well lived, lasts,,,,,,,Forever! With much Love, and Gratitude,,Heather Reed.
